Just like it’s doubtful Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon there is doubt the Russian “Cosmonaut” Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space in 1957.
* During his press conference Gagarin shared “experiences” that seem made up. He said “Weightlessness is no problem. Everything seemed normal”. He is the only astronaut to make this claim. Other astronauts report nausea, heart palpitations, ear clogging, dizziness, lack of balance, etc.
* He also said he “saw South America” from his space ship. This is highly unlikely as it was night time in South America at the time (2 to 3 a.m.). At this time of night it is likely that he saw nothing.
* In his memoirs, Gagarin says that he was wearing an orange flight suit on his first trip to space. But media outlets widely reported that he was wearing a blue flight suit. It’s a History changing event and people can’t even agree on the basics.
* European intelligence agencies did not register communications between Russia’s alleged “space center” and the “rocket”. While the press widely reported that the trip had been a huge success, people who worked in signals intelligence had their doubts.
* The Soviets reported that farmers recognized Yuri Gagarin upon his landing in a field and enthusiastically waved to him. But no reports or pictures of Gagarin had been published until after the successful flight. The farmers couldn’t have recognized him because he wasn’t yet known.
* When journalists asked Gagarin when photographs of the trip would be published, Gagarin paused for a moment. Then he responded “I didn’t have my camera with me”. He was apparently unaware that his space capsule was equipped with cameras.
* In 1968, shortly before Americans would “go to the moon”, Gagarin died in a plane explosion. The reports stated that nothing was left of Gagarins body after the crash. Nonetheless they found his blue flight suit hanging from a tree (both of these stories can’t be true).
